Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolysers are an innovative hydrogen production technology combining cost-effectiveness and high efficiency. AEM electrolysers use a membrane that facilitates hydroxide ion movement, splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen. They use non-precious metal catalysts, significantly lowering costs compared to Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolysers. Despite the lower costs, AEM electrolysers achieve similar efficiency levels due to improved ionic conductivity.
